Hi there, and welcome to Mama-First—a space where messy kitchens, chaotic schedules, toddler giggles, and college move-ins all belong. I’m so glad you’re here. Really.
I’m Amy—a mama of four, teacher of many, and a lifelong believer that motherhood isn’t something you ever grow out of. I have two grown kids off chasing dreams at college, and twin toddler girls who are currently chasing crayons and Cheerios around our home. Life is loud, busy, beautiful… and often a little sticky.
By day, I teach high school & college English (nearly 20 years and counting!); I come home to 2 year old twin daughters, juggle dinner for them, field “Mom, how do I…?” texts from my two off at college and attempt to feed my creativity while maintaining my sanity. But whether I’m homemaking, creating, or grading essays til midnight, one thing has always been true: I’m a mama, first.
I don’t have it all figured out—but I do have stories to share, tips that may help, and a lot of appreciation for those of you following along.
Stick around, explore a bit, and come back often. I’m just getting started—but I’m so happy to have you here from the beginning.
With love and gratitude,
Amy
